Brand and Website for Instituto Guardiões da Cultura, With Motion That Tells the Method
Instituto Guardiões da Cultura was created to sell a culture consulting journey to directors and senior HR. I designed the brand from scratch and then the website, where each animation explains a piece of the method. The result is a landing page that carries authority without feeling cold, and an assessment that arrives as a qualified lead.
The problem
The three partners had a finished method and no brand. The method is a consulting journey that turns leaders into guardians of their company's culture, sold quarterly, half-yearly or yearly straight to the board and HR.
The challenge was tone. The audience is senior and traditional, decides slowly and doesn't tolerate ambiguity. If the brand was too serious, it became one more leadership training. If it was too symbolic, it slid into the esoteric. And culture is an abstract subject: it needed a shape to be sold as an investment.
The decision
I started with the brand. The seal combines a shield, the guardian's role, with interlaced ellipses, the layers of culture built in cycles. The archetypes are the Sage, which brings depth, and the Ruler, which keeps the tone institutional. The palette is deep blue, paper and aged gold. Green, yellow and red were ruled out, because in Brazil they carry political associations.
Then the website became the brand system itself running in code, with the manual's rules built into the components. Motion came in with a clear job: explain the method without needing more copy. Each animation tells one idea.
The method's six pillars show up as a temple drawn in dots, which emerges as the page scrolls.
In the call to the assessment, the pillars start piled up inside the circle and spread out into an orbit. It's culture coming out of chaos and getting organized.
The motion rule
With a senior audience, legibility comes before effect. No animation hides copy or delays reading: the content is already there, the motion only reinforces it. And anyone who prefers reduced motion in their system gets a still page, with everything visible at once and the same content.
Performance was part of the design too. The temple's dither is computed in WebGL, and the closing arcs are precomputed, so the animations don't freeze the page. After an optimization round, the landing page got twice as fast on mobile.
The assessment
The site isn't just a storefront. The Readiness Assessment has 18 questions about the six pillars and takes about 3 minutes. At the end, the person sees the result on a radar and understands which pillar is holding back the company's growth. The signup is saved before submission, the partners get an email for every new lead and everything lives in a dedicated dashboard. The sales conversation already starts with an assessment in hand.
The outcome
The site went live on October 16 at institutoguardioes.com.br, scoring 100 on accessibility, SEO and best practices in PageSpeed, and 99 on desktop performance. The brand left the page and became a system that works on screen, with the same care as the manual.
And the project kept going: after launch, the Institute stayed with me on a recurring consulting contract.
Full visual identity for the Institute (seal, archetypes, palette and usage rules) and a website built as the brand system itself running in code. Motion designed as narrative: pillars that organize into an orbit, a temple drawn in dots, the partners' cards being dealt and arcs that meet. A Readiness Assessment with 18 questions, a radar result and a leads dashboard. All with a reduced motion version, 100 on accessibility and 99 on desktop performance.
